Materials
Size F crochet hook
1/2 oz Lt. gray 4 ply worsted weight yarn
1/2 oz White 4 ply worsted weight yarn
Two 6 mm 1/2 round eyes
Small Christmas wreath (approx. 1 1/2 inches in size)
Scrap red ribbon (for bow on wreath)
Gold thread (for hanger)
Glue gun
Fiberfill

Upper Body
With Lt. gray yarn, ch 2.
Rnd 1: 3 sc in 2nd ch from hook, ch 1 and turn. (3 sc)
Rnd 2: Sc in each st across, ch 1 and turn. (3 sc)
Rnd 3: 2 sc in each st across, ch 1 and turn. (6 sc)
Rnd 4: 2 sc in each st across, ch 1 and turn. (12 sc)
Rnd 5: Sc in each st across, ch 1 and turn. (12 sc)
Rnds  6 thru 9: Repeat rnd 5.
Rnd 10: Sc in each st, dec over next 2 sts, sc in next 2 sts, dec over next 2 sts, dec over next 2 sts, sc in last st, ch 1 and turn. (9 sc)
Rnd 11: Sc in each st across, ch 1 and turn. (9 sc)
Rnd 12: Sc in each 1st st, dec over next 2 sts, sc in next 3 sts, dec over next 2 sts, sc in last st, ch 1 and turn. (7 sc)
Rnd 13: Sc in each st across, ch 1 and turn. (7 sc)
Rnd 14: *Sc in each 1st st, dec over next 2 sts, repeat from * across, ch 1 and turn.

Rnd 15: Sc in each st, dec over next 2 sts, sc in next 2 sts, ch 1 and turn. (4 sc)
Rnd 16: Dec over 1st 2 sts, twice, ch 1 and turn. (2 sc)

Rnd 19: Dc in 1st st, sc in next st, sl st in next 2 sts, sc in next st, dc in last st, fasten off.
 
Fin and Flippers
Make 3
With Lt. gray yarn , ch 9.
Rnd 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, ch 1 and turn. (8 sc)
Rnd 2: Dec over 1st 2 sts, sc in next 4 sts, dec over last 2 sts, ch 1 and turn. (6 sc)
Rnd 3: Dec over 1st 2 sts, sc in next 2 sts, dec over last 2 sts, ch 1 and turn. (4 sc)
Rnd 4: Dec over 2 sts, twice, fasten off, leaving enough yarn to sew edges closed.
 
Finishing
Fold fin/flipper in half and whip stitch edges closed. Sew one fin on top center of body 1/3 down from nose. Sew flippers to edges. See diagram below.

Underbelly
With White yarn, ch 2.
Rnd 1: 3 sc in 2nd ch from hook, ch 1 and turn. (3 sc)
Rnd 2: Sc in each st across, ch 1 and turn. (3 sc)
Rnd 3: 2 sc in 1st st, sc in next st, 2 sc in last st, ch 1 and turn. (5 sc)
Rnd 4: Sc in each st across, ch 1 and turn. (5 sc)
Rnds  5 thru 12: Repeat rnd 4.
Rnd 13: Dec over 1st 2 sts, sc in next st, dec over last 2 sts, ch 1 and turn. (3 sc)
Rnd 14: Sc in each st across, ch 1 and turn. (3 sc)
Rnds  15 and 16: Repeat rnd 14.
Rnd 17: Dec over 1st 2 sts, sc in last st, ch 1 and turn. (2 sc)
Rnd 18: 2 sc in each st across, ch 1 and turn. (4 sc)
Rnd 19: 2 sc in 1st st, sl st in next 2 sts, 2 sc in last st, ch 3 and turn. (8 sc, 2 sl sts)
Rnd 20: Dc in 1st st, sc in next st, sl st in next 2 sts, sc in next st, dc in last st, fasten off.

Finishing
Whip stitch underbelly to upper body leaving a small open area to stuff. Stuff dolphin, shaping as you stuff. Whip stitch opening closed, fasten off and weave in ends. Tie ribbon into a small bow and glue to bottom of wreath, With matching yarn attach wreath to mouth with a small stitch, weave in ends. Glue eyes to sides of head as in picture. Attach gold thread to top of fin for hanger.
